How many times a day do you find yourself feeling afraid? How often do you think about the future and wonder what it holds? Have you ever consider that life is a dance, and it is your time to take a turn around the dance floor? Who are you really? Are you still a seeker, or have you accepted that it is your destiny to be a creator?
What is it you are really afraid of? Have you ever considered that the thing you are most afraid of is you? More afraid of your own power, your own response-ability, than of any gunman, any terrorist, any tsunami, because you see yourself in the mirror everyday and know that you are not living your destiny? Afraid because you know deep inside that no one will come along to change things, make you feel safe, or make the world safe and fair….that you must create the life and world you desire?
What if it is your time to realize that life is a dance, and it’s your turn on the dance floor… to choose the moves to create the dance as you want it to be? What if you just found out that you are a flower and it’s time to blow your seeds across the world to watch it spread and grow? What seed will you spread? What will grow from your seed? What truth will you tell?
There is nothing to be afraid of, only things to face. You are no longer a seeker, you are a creator. You are no longer the ward of a state, a government, an identity, or an ideology, you are the maker. You are no longer walking fearfully in the shadow of the dominator, you dance across the earth in partnership, mid-wifing a new earth. Finally, you are not alone.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love
